Since i've got quite a bit of free time before we head off to Chicago I thought it would be a good time to learn something new and what better than knitting? Something to keep me occupied and the challenge of learning from scratch appealed to me!
After failing miserably the first attempt with super small needles and yarn I asked my Auntie Suzie to teach me and then got myself some nice think merino wool yarn and some 10mm needles to practice with.
An afternoon later and hey presto.... the beginnings of my first scarf!
I've had my braces off for just over two months now and i've been loving experimenting with lipsticks, balms, glosses and stains again! It's been so refreshing to change up my make-up routine after it being pretty much the same for the past 18 months. A few of my new faves are Benefit Posie Tint for a fresh pink look, and my ALL TIME FAV? The Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G in So Marilyn. It's comfy, stays on for houuuursss and is the perfect shade for me!
3. ACID TONERS
I've been using acid toners ever since I met my skin care guru Caroline Hiron at a Body Shop event about a year ago.
They've since become the most important part of my skin care routine and i've now got most of my girl friends (and even my husband) into them too!
The best acid toner i've ever used?
P50 by Biologique Recherche
Worth the investment? Absolutely.
My other favourites are the Pixi Glow Tonic and the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads Extreme.
Never used an acid toner before or never even heard of Caroline? Head over to her incredible blog or Youtube channel and knock yourself out. You'll thank me for it.
4. GOING MAKE-UP FREE
Because not only is it super good for my skin to have a bit of 'time-off' but embracing myself without a full face of make-up on is the whole point. Loving myself just as I am... something that this year I've vowed to do more of.
5. BLUE COW YOGA STUDIO
Everything about the Blue Cow Yoga studio is lovely. The teachers. The studios. The lessons; Yoga, Barre and Heartcore Barre. The vibes.
If you're in London city and have a spare hour or two then it's worth checking it out! They've got good intro offers which makes trying the studio nice and affordable too!
