The past four days i've been struggling with pretty nasty stress induced headaches meaning that i've spent quite a lot of time in bed sleeping.

This morning though the headache had eased up a little so I decided to spend a few hours meandering around the City. I put on my comfiest sweats, got myself a herbal tea and simply enjoying the freedom of not having anywhere to be or anything to do.

It was the most wonderful form of meditation and I was struck by the beauty that's everywhere around just waiting to be discovered by those willing. Even in the rain.

London has been my home for 9 years and even though I've *mostly* loved every moment it feels time for a change. My heart longs to experience and explore a different city...its time to fall in love with somewhere new.

In 8 days time we'll have arrived at our new home, in our new city, in our new country to start the next chapter of our lives.

Chicago... I can't wait to meet you.

London...Thank you. You've been a total dream.

  1. Oh man, I love these photos! My husband and I moved to Sydney, Australia from London last August, and I get so homesick for London, seeing the grey fog! Never thought I'd miss it, but there's something so beautiful and enchanting about it. Pretty sure we'll be back for good in the next few years. Good luck in Chicago!
